Paddle Clinic:

A great opportunity for Adventure Racers who want to improve their paddling skills is happening September 21, 2008, at Lake Whitehurst in Norfolk. The Mid-Atlantic Paddler’s Association is putting on the Perennial Paddle, which consists of an eight mile and two-mile canoe and kayak race. Following the awards ceremony, a paddling clinic conducted by Chuck Conley, Rusty McClain and other members of MAPA will be held specifically for adventure racers entered in the Storm. This three hour clinic will cover the forward stroke, maneuvering, and towing and is for both canoes and kayaks. The cost is only $10 and can be paid with your entry fee to the Storm!! The clinic is limited to 10 participants, so sign up early! For questions about the clinic, contact Chuck Conley at badweatherpaddler@cox.net.
