Tag, it’s my turn
Hey everyone. Welcome to the “Splash Blog”. I’m Chris from Team Crash & Splash. This fall Pike asked me if I’d be interested in tackling the HRA world and I jumped at the chance. I’m honored to take on this responsibility. I hope I am able to satisfy your AR cravings like Pike and Grant had in the past.
I’m just getting settled into the new role as the new Hampton Roads Adventure Race Director. I have lots of great ideas to 2010. I can’t wait to start getting info out to everyone. Right now I’m still in the initial planning stage, trying to get legal paperwork in order, permits straight, etc. Once I have the first few events figured out, I’ll get the info posted ASAP. Expect to start the season with an O-Course followed by a Sprint race.
As of now I will be reading and responding to the info@hradventure.com email (and chris@hradventure.com). If you have tried to send something to me before today, then I probably didn’t get it and you will need to resend it. I do not have access to the old email to info@hradventure.com.
As always, HRA needs volunteers to run events. If you or someone you know may be interested in volunteering for one or more of our events, please send me an email. We need everything from safety boats, EMTs and people to man checkpoints. You can earn race credits by volunteering as well.
Good luck in your training and preparation for 2010. It should be fun!
